Are you someone who loves truck accessories? If so, you’ve
probably already purchased all the basics, like a sturdy truck box and stylish mud
flaps. Chances are, however, that you don’t have the Mobileye driving
assistance device. In fact, you most definitely don’t unless you’ve got a
special “connection,” since the device won’t be released until sometime next
year.
The Mobileye device, which is set to be included on the
newest version of the Ford Explorer, is a special product that features a small
camera. The camera “watches” the road as you drive and records your distance
from nearby cars and other objects. Thanks to its measuring capabilities, the
device will be able to tell if you’re drifting into another lane, something
that can easily happen if you’re not paying attention to the road or are
falling asleep. No matter what the cause of your drift, the Mobileye device
will let you know that it’s happening by buzzing, flashing a visual warning,
and/or sending a message to your Smartphone.
While nothing beats a truck box and other classic truck
accessories, some of the newer products coming to the market are definitely
worth exploring. #CalgaryTruckBox
