Everyone wants to have a pristine truck, but, unfortunately,
keeping a truck looking great is no easy feat. Regular driving, even on
well-paved roads, can often lead to stone chips on your truck; stone chips,
which occur when rocks fly up, hit your truck, and take a tiny bit of your
truck’s paint with them, can show up anywhere on trucks but are most common on
the front and sides of trucks. While you might not notice one or two stone
chips, several chips or one large chip can be quite noticeable and
unattractive. Fortunately, these chips are also relatively easy to fix.
All you really need to do to fix them is to select touch-up
paint that matches your truck’s color; matching up paint can be tricky, so give
this first step some careful attention. Once you’ve got the right paint, fixing
stone chips is just a matter of sanding the damaged area and carefully applying
the paint.
Of course, it’s much better to just prevent chips from occurring
in the first place, something you can easily do with a good running board. The right running board can
protect the sides of your vehicle, while mud flaps can protect the back
end. You can find both of these products and many other excellent protective
products at Auto Truck Depot.
