Protect Your Vehicle With Mud Flaps

Spring is just around the corner, and that means warm weather, sunny days, and lots of melting snow. In the winter, gravel and salt are our best friends, but when spring rolls around they become a projectile that can do a surprising amount of damage.

Whether you're driving a small car, a recreational truck, or a work vehicle, mud flaps are just a good idea. Gravel strewn on paved roads can very easily get caught up in the high speeds of your tires and flung out at equally high speeds into your vehicle or others. This can lead to chips in your paint and dents in your fender, or even worse, unseen damage to your vehicle's undercarriage. Flying rocks and other road debris can also be kicked out from your vehicle and strike those behind you, leaving their windows with chips or cracks in their front end.

Rock Tamers Med Flaps

Rock Tamers is just one of several different brands of flaps that we carry. Built from heavy rubber with a durable stainless steel frame, these mud flaps are designed to mount on your 2" or 2.5" ball mount hitch to protect you boat or trailer from damage. They are 100% adjustable for ground clearance and width, so you can customize the to your vehicle! The 2' x 2', tear resistant rubber comes with easy-to-use cutting guides and has been rigorously road tested for longevity and functionality. They can be installed or removed in minutes with no drilling required, and you can even spice them up with steel trim plates!

Mounted Flaps

Looking for something that mounts more permanently to your truck? We have a wide range of OEM standard mud flaps! From Air Hawk to Plasticolour Embossed flaps and even our own high quality and affordable house brand, we've got something for you. We've even got a stylized pair of racing flaps designed for lightweight functionality. While many of them are sized for trucks, a variety of the flaps are made for cars as well. Keeping a Tidy Truck

There’s nothing worse than an untidy truck, one that’s littered with fast food wrappers, soda cans, and that just has a general “icky” feel. Fortunately, you don’t have to let your truck become “that truck,” and if your truck is already a mess, well, know that there are things you can do to get it looking great again.
car_liners.gif
First and foremost, it should go without saying that you need to have floor mats in your vehicle. Floor mats will absorb moisture, keep spills from staining your upholstery, and make it easier to get dirt and dust out of your vehicle with a quick shake of the mat. Floor mats, however, aren’t enough to keep your truck looking tidy; you also need to make sure that you are throwing away any trash that accumulates and that you are doing so on a regular basis.

A good strategy for keeping trash out of your truck is to have a plastic grocery bag on hand to use as a trash bag. You can easily empty it every time you stop to get gas and will always have somewhere to put your trash besides the floor or the bed of your truck.

While these tips can keep the interior of your truck clean, what about the exterior? Well, obviously, regular washing is important, and you can also invest in other great products, such as mud flaps, to keep your truck looking its best. Mud flaps, for the record, are not only good at keeping mud off your truck’s back end, but they can also keep rocks and other debris from making dents in or causing other damage to your truck. You can find these products and anything else you might need to keep your truck clean at Auto Truck Depot.

Keep Your Vehicle Clean and Pristine

suvMudFlaps.jpg
Your vehicle should be something that you take pride in, something that you feel good driving and showing off to everyone you pass. It’s hard to feel good about a vehicle that’s dirty on the inside and marred with scratches and dings on the outside, however. That’s why it’s a good idea to take steps to keep your vehicle looking its very best. One great thing you can do to keep dirt off your vehicle and to keep debris from flinging up and dinging its backside is to install mud flaps. You can get mud flaps through Auto Truck Depot; in fact, the seller offers the Dually Mud Flap, which is one of the best products around.

Another simple tip is to avoid eating in your vehicle, and to hold everyone who rides in it to the same standards. Not only will this keep your vehicle’s interior free from stains and splotches, but it will also keep all those candy bar wrappers and fast food containers away, leaving you with a vehicle you can be proud of.

Mud Flaps: Not Just for Looks

suvMudFlaps.jpg
We’ve all seen mud flaps hanging down by the wheels  of a truck. These little flaps often serve as attention-getters for the truck owner. They might tout a funny phrase, pictures of a favorite cartoon character, or just some cool eye-catching design. While it’s fine for you to choose a decorative pair of flaps for your truck, it’s also important to recognize that these accessories do actually play an important role. They are designed to protect the entire back end of your vehicle, and not just from mud, but from rocks and flying debris as well. As such, you shouldn’t just pick your flaps based on design and appearance alone. You have to pay attention to functionality.

Good mud flaps provide you with full coverage and will work by flinging road debris back and away from the vehicle. Obviously, if they are going to be flinging rocks and other large chunks of debris about, they’ve got to be made of some pretty durable materials. Auto Truck Depot offers many different options, all made from long-lasting materials. Some even feature steel panels for extra protection. Best of all, the flaps are available in a wide range of prices, most of them quite affordable, so you can find flaps to match any budget.

If you happen to live close to the Depot, know that you can have the flaps that you choose installed. The process is quick and can be completed while you wait. If you don’t happen to live in the area, you can try installing the flaps yourself or calling in a professional. In most cases, installation is very easy and can be completed without a lot of know-how or fancy tools.

Keep Road Debris at Bay

Husky Mud Flap

If you’ve got a nice vehicle and you want to keep it that way, then you want to be taking several measures to protect it. One area that tends to be disregarded when it comes to protective measures, however, is the back end of the vehicle. This is unfortunate, because it is an area that is constantly exposed to potential damage! Picture all the dirt, rocks, and other debris your tires pick up, and then imagine all of that junk being thrown back at your formerly pristine paint job. That’s not just a made-up scenario; it’s what happens every time you hit the road. Plus, slime build-up happens easily. One way you can protect against these unsightly messes is by adding mud flaps to your vehicle.

Despite the name, mud flaps protect against much more than just mud. Plus, they work to protect your vehicle’s entire backside, not just the one small area that’s covered by the flap itself. If you want a wide selection of flaps, then check out the choices offered by Auto Truck Depot. This supplier has flaps for the heavy-duty all-terrain driver and for the road warrior who prefers to “go wild” driving through the city or neighborhoods.

Some good and very versatile flaps are the Husky Molded Mudguards. These flaps are built to fit perfectly on the exterior fenders and to protect your vehicle fully. They can be installed in just a few minutes of your time, without any special tools, and are built to last thanks to their construction of impact-resistant thermoplastic. Plus, they are black, making them easy to blend with any kind of vehicle and also adding a little hint of style and sophistication.

Include Mud Flaps in Your Vehicle-Protecting Army

Heavy Duty MudflapMost people buy a ton of different products to protect every single part of their vehicles. They buy protectors for their hoods, liners for their beds, and so much more. Unfortunately, though, a lot of them overlook one very affordable and very simple protective solution—mud flaps! Mud flaps are not just for keeping your vehicle cleaner, as many people wrongly assume by the name. Instead, they actually provide protection to the entire back end of your vehicle, protection that you really can’t afford to be without. They stop all of that debris that your tires are constantly flinging back, making problems with rust and damage to your paint a thing of the past!

Not only are these flaps incredibly affordable, but they’re also easy to install and to maintain as well. When they get to looking dirty, just hose them off with some water, and you’re good to go! Don’t think these have to be an unsightly addition to your truck either. In fact, with so many awesome models currently on the market today, it’s incredibly easy to find ones that add style and a hint of sophistication to your vehicle.

Looking for Marvelous Mud Flaps? Try the Dually Mud Flap

Dually Mud Flap

Even if you have the nicest truck in the entire world, its beauty can be ruined by a filthy, unkempt appearance. If your truck is looking a little dingy these days, don’t worry too much. The problem can easily be remedied by installing mud flaps on your vehicle. Auto Truck Depot has a wide variety of stylish mud flaps that can make your truck look its best and stay its cleanest. Some flaps, though, are better and more upscale than others. The one we suggest for a truly sophisticated look is the Dually mud flap, a great product you’ll wonder how you ever lived without!

This particular flap is especially good for keeping even the widest of fenders neat and tidy. It’s also great for sheltering trailers you are towing. The main reason that these flaps are so very capable is because of their large and wide design, which covers all necessary parts of your truck and keeps it free from a wide range of potential damages. These sturdy flaps even give full coverage to your tire tread, allowing you to use your vehicle in unpaved areas safely. They are also impact resistant and designed to protect both the exterior doors and the quarter panels.

Unlike similar products that wear out quickly, these flaps are made to last and last. They can be used in even the most extreme weather conditions and can hold up for years to come. Yes, they cost a little bit more than some other models, but you’re actually saving yourself money in the long run by avoiding the costs of constantly having to replace your flaps.

Back Off Mud!

suvMudFlaps.jpg
Mud flaps can be as decorative and fun as they are protective. After all, it's hard not to think of the cartoon character Yosemite Sam's famous flaps, telling other vehicles to back off. That's as much as statement of keeping your distance from a vehicle than the primary reason for flaps: to keep flying debris from hitting your truck or others. It is very important for you to use this type of accessory if you want your vehicle to avoid doing this.

Made of rubber, mud flaps do more than just keep mud from being a nuisance. The faster a vehicle goes, the more traction a tire needs on the road. If the road is not squeaky clean — and those road are hard to find — then flaps are a viable option to knock down whatever comes up from a rotating tire. Since so much can come up from your tires, it makes your truck that much more susceptible to paint chipping, body damage or mud stains that will take a number of washes to get out. If you have a running board, these flaps can also keep them protected. You also have to consider any items you're hauling. With these flaps, they will knock down the elements and keep them from damaging your boat or trailer.

For all the accessories necessary to protect and make your truck look good, turn to The Auto Truck Depot. Check out www.autotruckdepot.com for the flaps that will best suit your ride. If you don't see the exact ones for you, they have a wide selection. It's likely they have more in stock that's not shown online.
