2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty May Be the Toughest Yet

The new 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty may be the toughest of its class. This new pickup has been especially designed for reduced weight and increased strength. The new body is constructed of high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy, which is more dent resistant than ever before and resistant to corrosion. The frame is made of over 95% high-strength steel, and is proposed to be up to 24 times stiffer than previous frames. The four wheel drive components are more durable than before, as well as the drivetrain, axles and towing hardware. And with this increase in strength, the overall weight has been reduced up to 350 pounds.

This new design has been tested thoroughly by Ford engineers through virtual testing prior to field testing to predict its durability over the most extreme terrains while maximized with aftermarket equipment. The tests showed no concerns, even when loaded with aftermarket equipment beyond its maximum capacity.
The new 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty is proposed to be the toughest, most capable Super Duty yet, with its advanced material construction, reduced weight and "all-new, segment-exclusive smart technology to help increase customer productivity, comfort and convenience."
