2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty May Be the Toughest Yet

The new 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty may be the toughest of its class. This new pickup has been especially designed for reduced weight and increased strength. The new body is constructed of high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy, which is more dent resistant than ever before and resistant to corrosion. The frame is made of over 95% high-strength steel, and is proposed to be up to 24 times stiffer than previous frames. The four wheel drive components are more durable than before, as well as the drivetrain, axles and towing hardware. And with this increase in strength, the overall weight has been reduced up to 350 pounds.

This new design has been tested thoroughly by Ford engineers through virtual testing prior to field testing to predict its durability over the most extreme terrains while maximized with aftermarket equipment. The tests showed no concerns, even when loaded with aftermarket equipment beyond its maximum capacity.
The new 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty is proposed to be the toughest, most capable Super Duty yet, with its advanced material construction, reduced weight and "all-new, segment-exclusive smart technology to help increase customer productivity, comfort and convenience."

Ford Pickup Truck Cab Styles

The great thing about standards is that nobody ever has the same ones. This is as true for companies as it is for people. Each brand of pickup truck is going to have slightly different names, dimensions, and elements for their different cab styles.
When purchasing a tonneau cover or other truck bed accessories for your Ford pickup truck, you will often need to know the cab style. This overview will walk you through the various distinguishing elements so you can quickly and easily identify what your vehicle is.

Ford Pickup Truck Cab Styles

1. Regular Cab

Ford Regular Cab
A regular cab has two doors (one on the passenger side and one on the drivers side). There are no back seats. This is the smallest size cab Ford makes.

2. Super Cab

Ford Super Cab
A super Cab has four doors. The front door has to be open to open the back door and the back door opens in the opposite direction.

3. Super Crew Cab

Ford Super Crew Cab
A super crew cab has 4 doors that all open in the same direction. There are door handles located on the outsides of all 4 doors. This is the largest cab style Ford offers.

Ford Offers Alternative Fuel Options for the 2016 F-150

Ford has consistently been the leader of pickup trucks, and their progress shows no sign of slowing down. Ford has recently announced that “the 2016 F-150” will offer an “available gaseous fuel prep package that enables 5.0-liter V8-powered models to run on clean, low-cost compressed natural gas or propane, making Ford the only manufacturer of a CNG/propane-capable half-ton pickup” as a response to customer requests.

This response not only shows Ford’s passion to serve their customers, but shows a great deal in fuel leadership, and a start to developing cleaner, more efficient, and ecofriendly pickup truck. Ford describes this as “the toughest, smartest, most capable F-150 ever” with a “gaseous-fuel prep package that includes upgraded intake and exhaust valves and valve seats to ensure the engine performs to Build Ford Tough standards.” This means the new F-150 will have all the power you would expect from a Ford pickup while providing cleaner, more-efficient, alternative-fuel capabilities.

With Ford’s development within the auto industry and response to customer demands, we will see “the only light-duty pickup capable of running on compressed natural gas or propane.” This is a demonstration of leadership innovation at its finest from Ford, the leading pickup truck manufacturer, and the Auto Truck Depot has everything you could need to maximize this new ride at http://www.autotruckdepot.ca.
